Benbria’s next generation reporting and analytics engine included in the Loop Experience Platform allows Benbria to offer as low as 10 ms response times on the 95th percentile, offering a solution that scales favourably when more usage is requested of it.
Ottawa, Ontario – May 5, 2022- Benbria, a leading provider of real-time experience management for location-based operations announced today that it has completed a project with CENGN, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks, to prove that the engine scales tremendously to support growth. This is a key driver to onboard more enterprise clients at repeatable scale, ensuring that the technology can keep up with demand.
Using a carrier-grade controlled test environment provided by CENGN, the Benbria team was able to measure performance, identify scaling issues and bottlenecks, as well as generate heavy loads of data to test the capacity of the engines and the Loop Experience Platform.
“Working with the CENGN team not only allowed us to evaluate the performance our next generation reporting and analytics engine, but it also gave us the opportunity to interact with talented engineers who are used to scaling up applications and stress testing them,” said Vincent Labreche, CTO of Benbria.
The results demonstrated that the Benbria solution scales effectively when more power is provided to it. It was determined that the latency of responses, performance impact on queries, and the speed of pre-aggregation calculation were stable over the test matrix. A structural bottleneck was identified and fixed in the process, allowing Benbria to offer 10ms of data reporting on the 95th percentile.
“This CENGN project gave Benbria the opportunity to validate through simulated customer requirements that the Loop Experience Platform will deliver reliable performance as expected demand grows tenfold,” said Alex Edwards, Business Engineering Manager at CENGN.
“It’s great to have access to resources like CENGN for local companies within the Kanata Research Park (KRP). Seeing experts in the field work together is what makes our local ecosystem stronger and allows us to develop better products that we can attribute to the work we do here in Ottawa,” said Jordan Parsons, CEO of Benbria.
