Susan Richards is a CPA with 20 years of accounting experience in the Ottawa tech sector having served the last 12 years as CFO to over 30 companies in a part-time, full-time or contract basis. In 2010 Susan we granted the prestigious Fellowship designation by the Society of Management Accountants of Canada.
In 2014 Susan co-founded NumberCrunch, a company that provides full stop back end financial support services for startups to mid-sized companies. In 2017 NumberCrunch won ‘Best New Business’ at the Best Ottawa Business Awards (BOBs). In 2017 Susan was also a finalist for the Business Woman of the Year awards presented by the Women’s Business Network of Ottawa. Previously Susan was the recipient of the Canadian Business Leadership Award for ‘Business Intuition’ from CMA Ontario.
An entrepreneur at heart, in 2012 Susan is also Co-Founder and CEO of an online marketplace for gifting found at Givopoly.com. Givopoly has expanded to Toronto and Vancouver with more cities to come.
Susan is a great Ottawa ambassador and serves on the Board of Directors of Invest Ottawa and the Board of Advisors at AmbiSHEous. Susan was previously the one of the youngest to be elected to the Board of Governors of CMA Ontario, and served on the Algonquin College Presidents Advisory Counsil.
